This site gets generated with a bash script. Pages are written in markdown (mostly) which is then converted to HTML. Stuff like Hugo is a pain and too confusing for me.
Cloudflare is a glowie project. It just is because I said so. Anyways who WOULDN'T be interested in a good chunk of global HTTPS traffic? I would, a lot of governments would, probably.

TBH for shit other than MITMing your site its really really good being a free service. DNS is instant, Well free dns from registrar works just fine but some registrars can be slow.
On the 18th of November 2025 Cloudflare was down for a few hours which means 99% of the western Internet was down. Everyone is TOO reliant on CF, a majority of sites don't need it and a majority of sites' backend IPs can be found pretty easily on sites such as Censys.

A mildly useless host since it uses Crunchbits for USA and iHostArt for Romania. Cool looking site but its too bloated. Requires ZERO information about you, which is a plus. It's better to use their upstream providers, since they both accept moneroz anyways.

Watched Haibane Renmei. It was pretty good. Funnily enough I've had Haibane Renmei artwork for my computer wallpapers when I haven't even watched it lol. To be fair though, Abe Yoshitoshi's art style is quite stunning and beautiful to look at. One day I would like to create art with a similar style as him, though I'm not an art guy sadly.

Anyways, I have added an email you can contact me with on the home page. Am I going to periodically check it? Maybe, if there will be a flow of emails that I'm obligated to look at. Email for me is just a place to get verification codes. It's such a shame to see the state of email, It's too centralized and its a mild pain to self-host email and having your mail sent reliably when there's racketeering organizations such as Spamhaus harassing hosting providers. (blah blah blah I will probably continue next time on a dedicated page.)

New journal update. I have been reading more recently. I'm nearly done with the first volume of Spice & Wolf's light novel and it seems that it goes a different direction than the (original) anime from the few episodes I watched a while ago. Fun to read.

Happy new year. I would say 2025 wasn't really much interesting. It seems that every year passes it gets worser and worser. Anyways, hopefully I will bother to do interesting stuff that I been thinking about this year. 99.9% of 2025 was me meaninglessly bedrotting (okay, maybe I should stop thinking about sad stuff like this). At the end of 2026 I want to see my site to be filled with so much dogshit, at the moment its a bit barren... probably because I JUST started it.

I watched Welcome to the NHK. It's good (a bit hard to watch though), but it has made me a little bit more depressed. I should read the original novel since the anime apparently redacts quite a lot of the cool stuff... Something Misaki said (IIRC) was that ones that think of themselves being successful tend to ones that don't do anything, which I relate to quite a lot. I wish I had someone like her IRL......

The trackpad for my lolpad was being a bit fucky with me so I removed it and blowed air on it. Problem solved. Anyways, the iFixit Guide about it says that you have to disassemble the whole laptop in order to access it, you don't lol. I could just edit it for them, but I won't because theres a comment about it.

I got these old computing books at a bookshop a week ago. 2 of them are about making a website, another one a KISS guide on Windows ME, and another one about teaching yourself computers and the Internet VISUALLY. They're pretty cool and soulful but will I read them? Probably not, but maybe I could use them to help make my site :')

Furthermore, I dont think its the board thats the issue, it seems to be the component on the bottom left of the laptop, I think I will put the old board back in with the new component which came with the motherboard I got.

You can't change it. It has the security chip in it, which is locked in with the motherboard. Everything is PERFECTLY FINE but no, "IBM Embedded Security hardware tamper detected". FUCK SECURITY.

Maybe its possible to flash the BIOS so it doesnt give a shit but the thing is theres basically no information on that and I have never done it before.

Its a dud, I think. For some reason, the display doesnt turn on most of the time when turning it on, its a pain to boot anything and when it does it goes black. I could just be ADHD and not giving it enough time. Anyways it won't turn on anymore after I unplugged the charger, did I short it?

Gave it a go at replacing the motherboard, sadly I only have 2 braincells so I didn't complete it. I will probably have to disassemble the whole laptop in order to replace it. Its hinge cover is fucked for some reason, won't screw off with one screw skipping with loads of resistance for some reason. hopefully i can do it!!!!!

Did mostly nothing today, recieved a package for a motherboard for an old thinkpad that needs a new one I think. Will do later in the weekend.
My main laptop is a Thinkpad T470 with an Intel Core i5 6200U, 8GB of DDR4 2133Mhz RAM, and 1TB of M.2 SSD storage. I bought it for under £100 in around October 2024. I quite like it and it can do everything I need to do, which is web-browsing and watching anime and VNs and shit. It had 256GB of storage but I swapped it for a 1TB one. The battery isn't great but its always getting charged anyways. It ran Debian GNU/Linux 12 with XFCE and then 13 using sway instead, sorry Xchads, transland runs more smoothly with neither tearing or stuttering. :P
Since you basically need to have a phone in modern day society, I want to be survielled in STYLE. Every phone nowadays are locked down, addictive, soulless, fragile slabs of glass and metal that lasts about a week max. Here is my idea for what the perfect phone would be.

The perfect phone would be a really good modern flip phone. Its main feature will be the low pixel density screen (under ~400px), this should reduce things such as doomscrolling and fapping to porn conveniently. I dont think you can get instant dopamine from 抖音 and Xitter on a screen with minimal screen real estate.

The OS will be from scratch since Android fucking sucks. This should make the phone lightweight and have a really good battery life. It will also have great support for 'essential' stuff such as external messaging services, banking, maps and more. You can do everything that you can already do on a normal smartphone with a minimal screen, but not social media (:DDDD).

It will have upgradable storage via micro SD, and an easily replaceable battery. {Thinkpad style? That would be dope.} The camera will be good enough for decent pictures and video. The ports it will have is a USB-C port and a headphone jack, maybe more if necessary.

This is a good device to give to children, it allows them to contact Mommy and Daddy without risking them watch short-form content 24/7. {Or never give them one. Best option.}

The phone should just be an extension to your normal computer. If you can't do it on the phone, then you should just do it inconveniently on your PC.

Business-wise, would this be profitable? NO. The phone will be cheap and built to last and there will be no need to upgrade, nor the maker making it slow and shitty with useless updates forcing you to upgrade. This phone is essentially the opposite of the iPhone and Apple's first priority is money. It would take a nice billionaire to make this happen. Another problem is community support for the phone, will banks, companys support the phone if Android is good enough?
